3D TimeData was software I wrote with the aid of a former CERN colleague on an IBM Thinkpad, in Visual Basic, after Fortran had been my language.
However, I got too frustrated between ‘design mode’ and ‘coding’ both in VB and my head. I ended up fine tuning
- the quality of my insights
- the depth of my understanding
- and my ability to write specifications for developers.
Just like a builder becomes an architect, or an actor a producer, so I moved on from programming to software designer. But the feedback between software, data and interpretation were the key dynamics for the process of thinking…
